Biography
Megan Patterson was first elected MLA for Moose Jaw Wakamow in the 2024 provincial election. Born and raised in Moose Jaw, she has deep roots in this community and a genuine commitment to its future.
Megan graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Commerce degree in 2000. She accepted a position with a Fortune 500 company in Toronto, where she spent 13 years as an account executive and Canadian operations manager, gaining experience at the highest levels of private enterprise.
In 2013, Megan returned to Saskatchewan with her husband to raise their family. She joined SaskPower as an energy advisor, a role she held for seven years. In 2020, she earned an Executive MBA from the University of Regina and completed the Canadian Securities Course.
Before entering politics, Megan was a business instructor at Saskatchewan Polytechnic in Moose Jaw, shaping the next generation of Saskatchewan entrepreneurs and business leaders. She was also a director of the Moose Jaw Chamber of Commerce and MUNCH Catering and Hunger in Moose Jaw.
Megan is the community producer of discoverABILITY, a series focused on building disability awareness and championing inclusion in Saskatchewan. One of her first acts as MLA was announcing Saskatchewan's first Accessibility Plan in the Legislature.
Megan and her husband reside in Moose Jaw with their three sons and two dogs.
